I'm a New York based Director and DP. Thusfar, I’ve directed, shot, cut and/or written several hundred spots, industrials, features, documentaries, shorts and television shows. My work has appeared theatrically, on most major television/cable stations, and has won dozens of awards.
As indicated by this site, I primarily direct and shoot, though I’m often involved in the edit -- as a director, my method is to previsualize the entire piece shot-by-shot, cut-by-cut. In all roles, I consider myself fundamentally a storyteller, be it straight drama or getting across a corporate message.
I’ve been NY-based since receiving my M.F.A. from the NYU Graduate Filmmaking Program. My thesis film 'Guys, Girls and Guns' won numerous awards for writing, directing and editing. It appeared in several festivals worldwide and on several television stations including the USA Network. Upon graduating, I bought a Super16mm camera package and began my professional career shooting indie features and documentaries. I’ve shot on five continents, from 18,000 feet above sea level on Mt. Everest to 100 feet below it in the Indian Ocean. Crew sizes have ranged from a few to nearly a hundred.
